You've got a corporate event to plan. You want it to feel different from the last one. You've heard good things about craft workshops but you're not totally sure what the actual experience looks like from a logistics standpoint.
Here's exactly what it looks like when you book with Craft for Team in San Jose.
Step 1: Pick your workshop (or let us help)
The San Jose studio offers eight workshops: Rug Tufting, Chunky Blanket Making, Candle Making, Perfume Making, Aromatherapy Blending, Mosaic Art, Mosaic Lamp, and Moss Wall Art. Each has different durations, vibes, and takeaway types.
Not sure which to choose? Tell us your group size, time window, and the general energy you're going for. We'll point you in the right direction.
Step 2: Book — usually confirmed within 24 hours
We don't have a six-week lead time requirement. Most bookings are confirmed within 24 hours. For groups with tight timelines or large headcounts, reach out directly and we'll figure it out.
One exception: if you're planning for Q4 — October through December — dates fill 6–8 weeks out. Holiday parties, year-end celebrations, and end-of-quarter events all cluster in the same window. If your event is in November or December, start this step in October.
Group sizes at the San Jose studio run from 10 guests up to 1,000 — yes, four figures. Large corporate events, offsite retreats, all-hands celebrations — the capacity scales.
Step 3: Show up. Materials are ready.
You don't bring anything except your people. Craft for Team handles:
All materials (yarn, tiles, wax, moss, essential oils — everything)
Instructor-led guidance for every participant
Station setup
Cleanup
When your group walks in, stations are set, instructions are ready, and the instructor is there to walk everyone through the process from start to finish.
Step 4: Make something
This is the actual event. Depending on the workshop you chose, your group spends 30 minutes to 2.5 hours creating — candles, blankets, rugs, lamps, perfumes, mosaic panels, or moss art. The instructor keeps the session moving, answers questions, and makes sure nobody feels lost.
This is also where the team building actually happens. Shared struggle, shared creative decisions, the occasional impressive result from the person who swore they weren't artistic — it unfolds organically.
Step 5: Take it home
Every participant leaves with something they made. A candle on their desk, a blanket on their couch, a perfume in their bag, a lamp on their bookshelf. The workshop stays in people's memories partly because the object keeps showing up in their daily life.
Frequently asked logistics questions
Do people need any artistic skill?
No. Every workshop is designed for complete beginners. The instruction is built for people who haven't done this before.
What if someone doesn't want to participate fully?
Observers are welcome. Some people prefer to watch for the first few minutes before jumping in — that's fine.
Can we combine multiple workshops?
Yes, for larger events or longer time windows, groups can rotate through different activities. Ask us about combining sessions when you book.
What's the cancellation policy?
Reach out when you book — we'll walk through the details based on your group size and session type.
